Signed to the end of the season. To be fair, he's not played a lot, but when he's played, I haven't had a heart attack. I guess that's a good thing?

MW said Kelly would get an extended run in the team, I’ve no idea if Marschall, that tall schoolboy on loan from Villa, is really injured or just taken out of the firing line, whatever, Kelly seems to be an upgrade, he comes off his line, he can use his feet well and make a save or two

Did he say that? I thought he just said he got an extension on his deal. Didn’t hear any commitment on him continuing to start for us.

All for it though. He’s gone from 3rd choice to 1st in my opinion. Which is all the more surprising after his performance against Bright academy.

Feel pretty relaxed with him in goal albeit he’s not been tested much yet.

Both times I've seen him, Tranmere and Swindon, it never once occurred to me we had an untested, inexperienced and new goalkeeper in net.

That, by all accounts is a good thing. He hasn't been tested much but he's not forcing it like Marschall was.

MW taking the young lad out is clever, but he's got work to do to get back in.

Was excellent tonight, we’d have lost that had the tall schoolboy played, Kelly is the No 1

I agree, a good all-round performance. seems to have the confidence that Marschall is lacking.

An interesting piece on how Michael dealt with being an out of work footballer:
