When did we play Stoke? I don't remember that. I do remember most things, but I don't remember that at all.

 me either. I'm 99.9% sure we've never played Stoke. Unless it was in pre-season?

We played them several times when our name was Wimbledon FC.
Just love it - waiting for WUP to pick this up

Wimbledon played Stoke in MK in the FA Cup. January 2004. IIRC Adam Nowland scored - whatever happened to him after the administrators sold him off?

But I don't think Sidibe was playing for Stoke at the time.

But Lewie claims he played Stoke when they had Mamady Sidibe, and he didn't join Stoke until 2005 after we were formed :?

Sidibe has played for a few clubs (Swansea, Gillingham, Sheff Weds) that Lewie would have played against either with Wimbledon or us. Think he has just got Sidibe's club mixed up.

Looked into it..

The only time Lewie has ever played against Sidibe was when Sidibe was playing for Sheffield Wednesday, and we played them in a 0-0 FA Cup 3rd round game in 2013.

Nowland was very much a journeyman. After us he played for West Ham then Forest then Preston. Spent most of his career in the lower leagues playing bit parts for most of them apart from Notts County where he managed 20 apprearences. Signed for Blackpool and made one cup apprearence and then signed for Fylde. After Fylde went to the US where he has been ever since. Was manager of the Washington Crossfire in the US Premier Developmental League back in 2013.

Snuck a 1-0 away win in the replay. That's my first ever memory of 'hooliganism' following the Dons, when the away coach had some bricks thrown at it on the way home.

But agreed no Sidibe either time.
