I'm definitely going. We are far better than we showed in the last game. Let's just give it a go and pray the football gods are smiling on us.

I like your optimism !

Yes we could score 3 goals on Sat

Then again, with our hopeless defence, were very capable of conceding 4
I fully expect they will score on Sat so we will need to score 4 maybe 5 to have a chance

1000/1 shot

And if i miss game of the century, Ill get tickets for Wembers

We can easily score 3, or even 4, but there's no way we'll keep a clean sheet. We let Sutton, fucking Sutton United, put four past us less than a month ago.

If we get to Wembley I'll obviously go. But it's a massive long shot.

If you can't afford it, or can't make the re-arranged date, I can understand you staying at home.

However, I really can't understand those fans that are not going because they think we've got no chance.

What happens if we get a premier league team in the FA cup next season, would you stay at home cos you expect us to lose? Imagine if you'd missed the Man Utd game because you stayed at home expecting us to lose.

Wembley will be nice and all, but Doncaster will rip us a new one. They have forgotten how to lose and full deserve to go up. We quite frankly don't. When it comes to the crunch we just can't do it. I have zero faith in the defence as Gers rightly said Sutton put 4 past us and we have conceded 10 in our last three. That is an insane amount of goals to concede as much as the two league games were dead rubbers this is not.

If the match had still been going ahead last night, I'd have gone, but the person I was supposed to be going with can’t make Saturday. Which means I’d be on my own. I tried to convince The Current Mrs Gers to come, but I’d have had more luck getting her to listen to the entire Fall back catalogue. She’s not a fan of the beautiful game, or indeed the post-punk Manc’ wonders.

So I’d be on my own. Couldn’t sit in my usual place, with mates, as those seats have been sold to someone else. The place will be packed, and the bars will be rammed. Those bars will be staffed with fucking morons who’ve never poured a pint in their entire lives. I wouldn’t be able to have my usual halftime pint with the aforementioned mates because we won’t be able to get served as the service in both Lewington’s, and especially The Cowshed Bar is going to be fucking stupid.

So those that are going on Saturday, more power to you. I’ll be sitting at home watching from the comfort of my sofa, and if I want a drink all I’ll have to do is walk from the lounge to the kitchen. I have a big house, but it’s not that big, so it’s not going to take me all that long, unlike for you.

Thing is we would be underdogs v United. The bookies and most of use believed we weren't v Crawley and we got shown up. It is a 6 hour trip all in for me and £50 just to get a ticket and petrol regardless of if I buy food and or drink so I assume that would be closer to £60. I just can't justify that much on the off chance. If it has been 2 I would have considered it. More power to people who have gone, but as I have said from the beginning it is all well and good getting arses on seats but they will not be back in August (even less chance if the first game of the season is at home as it will be on Sky). If they can do it on a sunny day in May when we are on the ropes why can't people do it on a shit day in November?

So you'll be sitting at home on your own watching it instead of on your own in the stadium?

I never drink in the stadium anyway as regardless of how big or small the crowd is, it still takes forever to get served.

I also find it incredibly difficult to walk at the minute. Had a really bad night, in a lot of pain. Which was my own fault for walking too much yesterday. But to be perfectly honest, all bullshit nonsense apart, I just really don't fancy it. And to be equally honest, if it weren't on the telly, I'd have gone. But we've got Sky, and coupled with everything I've said above, there you go. Not going.
