Hold on. So not only are we shutting over half the stadium, we’re also blocking out the first 2 rows of every block that is open.

Why not just go the full whack and do it behind closed doors?

Mansfield proved that you can jump on the netting and still move forward with glee, so I do believe it will still be possible to invade the pitch if we so desire.

If we win and therefore go to Wembley then it isn't really 'an invasion' as such it'd be more 'a huge joyful celebration'.
Now the club is not going to encourage that obviously, but actively prevent it......?

This. Club's really should be looking on pitch invasions (from celebrating fans) as an occupational hazzard of something going right on the pitch for a change. "oooh, we'll get fined" Tough!

If we get to Wembley then I always think of any pitch invasion and subsequent fine rather like getting done for parking on a double yellow whle picking up your winning lottery ticket.

Sadly once again it all comes down to money. The club will be fined if fans invade the pitch. The other 91 clubs in the Football League would simply accept the fine and allow their supporters to enjoy a wonderful and significant moment in the club's history. Not with Pete, though. As we all know, money is more important than the fans and the football club.

He'd probably use the fine to justify putting matchday prices up another couple of quid next season. "It's £28 now, and you brought it on yourselves. That money's got to come from somewhere."
