To be serious for a moment before I go back to watching Mad Max.

This is one of the main problems with this club, and one of the reasons we stopped doing the podcast. It's almost as if tonight's game was a foregone conclusion. In the mind of the more fervent fanbase we'd already won. They spend more time on stuff like this than actually wondering what might happen if things go south. Like they did tonight.

This Don Your White nonsense if a vacuous endeavour now. What's the point? There isn't one. I'd imagine that Saturday will be something akin to a wake. There's no point in making an effort where this club's concerned, and believe me I know after multiple radio shows, podcasts, blogs, fanzines, and god alone only knows what else, because no matter what you try to do to engage with the fanbase, this club will always let you down.

Someone asked me recently if I miss doing the podcast. To which I replied that I guess I miss the actual hour of recording, but I certainly don't miss all the other crap that went with it.

I'm an old man, and have been going to football since 1966. Trust me here, it's not going to get any better. It'll always let you down.

For those that like that sort of thing, that is the sort of thing they like.

The fans can't control what goes on on the pitch. They can control things like this. Just because they've lost, doesn't mean its a worthwhile project. They've carried these ticket sales and promotions on their own, the club have almost enjoyed they've got free labour from a group of young chaps.

Nobody for a second thought it was over before it started, don't know where you get that from. The fixture was in place for weeks before we even knew who we had.

Well, I hope all the effort and momentum that DA have put in here carries on into next season for other things. It's a real shame that circumstances beyond their control (the date switch, and last night's performance) will affect this so much.
