Just to caveat

I think we will ultimately fail in the play offs but win the League next season

So where do the ultra negative tactics come from that started around 20 minutes in? Is that MW or the players doing it off their own backs?

Didn't think we was ultra negative. Mansfield just got a toe hold in the game and then we were always chasing it.

For about 10 minutes we just passed it around at the back. The Mansfield fans were booing our negativity and most of us around me were just perplexed that we’d dropped to walking pace. For me that was where the game was lost and I’d love to know if it came from MW or the players.

We passed it around at the back because they backed off us. We were trying to draw them in. The booing was for their players, not ours.

Hmm, not sure!

The right team one first 20 minutes they sat off us slightly and gave us time to play, they then seemed to change their style and started pressing on to our defenders, the midfielders were outmuscled most of the time and not allowed to impose our style.

Up front we seemed to be trying to pass our way into the net and they had 8 players back so there was no space to move in to.

So outthought, outplayed, outmuscled deservedly beaten, downhearted not really the players tried and in November we were relegation candidates.

At some time we have to win a play off maybe a day at Wembley, then let us see where we are and what happens next season.

Harrogate and Sutton can now be relaxed games no pressure let’s enjoy what we can

I think the JPT final was the only game we will win at Wembley.

I would love to be wrong, but we do not have the mental toughness / fight needed to go with technical ability.

Defeat today is the best preparation for the play offs we now have three weeks to get over the disappointment of missing out on autos, I pray Tomlinson will be fit and we have to hope our players are ready to be brave and take their shot at glory.

We’ve not been let down (though BCS and anyone else has every right to feel that). We did play hoofball too often. Three better teams will finish above us. We all had dreams of what might have been. But the team, the gaffer and the coaching staff gave us that chance, after the mess that was the GA era. We might yet go up. I doubt we will as we have a flawed mentality.

But, if we stay in L2, it isn’t the end of the world. Yes, players will leave, but we’ll hire new players. Players will want to play our brand of football. We’ll get new loanees too, because their clubs will look at the season as a whole and will know we’re a better prospect than most of the shit teams in this basement league.

Shout. Swear. Kick the virtual cat. Get drunk. But next season could be better than this.

Don’t share your enthusiasm for winning the league next season, we’ll lose Dean, O Hora, possibly one or two more and all the current loan players, it’s going to be another massive rebuild if we fail to go up

Will be sad to see Dean go... but he will be replaced just like he replaced Eisa.
I'm not too bothered about O'Hora or even Harvie going. Our defence has been leaky the last two seasons. Not blaming those two players specifically, but it might just be time for a change. MW and LS did well in January. We will go again

You’re talking as if this season’s over. Far from it.

No, I’m not. We have a chance in the playoffs. But I don’t think we’ll win them. But, even if that’s the case, it’s not the end of the world.

We will finish above the other teams in the playoffs. Good reason to believe that we will still get promoted.

What happened in previous seasons has no bearing.

But agreee, even if we don’t, it’s not the end of the world.
