We’ve not been let down (though BCS and anyone else has every right to feel that). We did play hoofball too often. Three better teams will finish above us. We all had dreams of what might have been. But the team, the gaffer and the coaching staff gave us that chance, after the mess that was the GA era. We might yet go up. I doubt we will as we have a flawed mentality.
But, if we stay in L2, it isn’t the end of the world. Yes, players will leave, but we’ll hire new players. Players will want to play our brand of football. We’ll get new loanees too, because their clubs will look at the season as a whole and will know we’re a better prospect than most of the shit teams in this basement league.
Shout. Swear. Kick the virtual cat. Get drunk. But next season could be better than this.
You’re talking as if this season’s over. Far from it.
No, I’m not. We have a chance in the playoffs. But I don’t think we’ll win them. But, even if that’s the case, it’s not the end of the world.
We will finish above the other teams in the playoffs. Good reason to believe that we will still get promoted.
What happened in previous seasons has no bearing.
But agreee, even if we don’t, it’s not the end of the world.
I really want a day out at Wembley this season. But, even if we don't go up, I'm really confident that we'll have a great season next time and it'll be one to remember.
I can't see MW leaving yet but a few players have contracts running down that will go and some may be sold. Doesn't matter as there are enough good players out there to keep our current style. We'll be fine, even if we don't go up this season.
