We've also played 1 and 2 games more than those teams, respectively - and have a poor away record (that's getting worse with each game) and half of our remaining games away.

So, yeah, not mathematically over obviously. But when even you've dropped from your usual 'we're definitely going up'' to 'of course it's not over', then it's clear things aren't looking decidedly great for our automatic promotion chances.

It’s going to take some sort of monumental cave in by Wrexham/Stockport/Mansfield, for us to have any hope of autos, our run in is full of banana skins and top end teams to play, I can’t see any scenario where we will finish top three, looking very much like the lottery of the play offs

I think we're actually in a relegation battle.
You heard it here first.

You lot love an overreaction, don't you?

It's more than possible that by Friday evening we're back level on points with Wrexham and everyone's getting their hopes up again. Did our chances take a big blow on Saturday? Absolutely. It doesn't mean we have to act like it's the end of the world. We've got 6 games to go and we're still in the hunt, just sit back and (at least try to) enjoy the ride.

This. Especially in a poor league thats been throwing out bizarre results all throughout. There's some twists and turns left yet.

Wrexham have a game in hand, which is Crawley at home. They’re not losing that. They’re pretty much 6 points ahead of us with a +13 goal difference.

We need them to at least lose 2 and draw 1 of their remaining 6 games, while we win all of ours. It’s not happening.

Are the automatics gone? I feel they’ve slipped away. Away form is just a killer, massive shame as MW has done so well. Big decision on his hands for the next game too. If he drops Kelly I think he’ll have blood on his hands.

Are you mental? This has to be fishing.

Here is the table if everyone were to win their games in hand. Obviously this is not wholly accurate with teams playing one another, but gives some idea of worst case

I'd suggest you take a look at Crawley's recent form if you think that's somehow a guaranteed 3 points. I fancy them to make the playoffs and do quite well in them.

Wrexham also have to play Mansfield and Stockport, plus the fact that teams keep dropping points in games you wouldn't expect. There could be plenty of twists and turns ti come yet.

This is not an issue. Worst case it's 5 points clear of 8th with 6 games left. Then we can just win the play off final and go up.
Even if we don't go up this season, I really think we'll win or be top 2 next season.
