Plenty to be positive about with the style of football. But, aside from the very disappointing result, the three areas of worry for me were: Firstly, further proof that we need defensive additions - even more so without Walsh. Secondly, the fact that, without Chuks we still struggle to score, or even look like scoring. We need to bring in a creator or scorer in the window. And finally, Micciche's first ever substitution in a senior game was, as has been stated, such a poor one. He's learning on the job, but that sub pretty much decided the game so his inexperience has maybe already attributed to one big loss.
But, like I said, the style was better. And the first two problems preceded Micciche and hopefully time for a couple of additions to help the CB and scoring issues. And Micciche will learn from that mistake and get better in his decision making.
So overall, gutted about the result but still optimistic for the future.

Think this is the sort of game we have to take on the chin. I’ve always said I can take losing if we put our all in and I think they did. I think they deserved a clap off. Sometimes you lose and the circumstances aren’t always a bad referee or a bad performance etc. It’s just the way the game went.

Yep, glorious. Possession 64%, created very few chances, lost 0-1.
