Listening to DM interview it looks like a fed of the kids to go out on loan, this will limit Bens chances of breaking into the first team.

Was there ever an official announcement about Tilney coming back?

He’s a proper good player. If we had Karl Robinson here he’d have played a lot more.

This. Robbo seemed genuinely excited by his potential, I seem to recall an interview saying the last time he was that impressed with a youngster was with Dele Alli (then again, Robbo says a lot of shit, so it could just be total hyperbole).

One thing to consider with all our youngsters is that at some point in their time with us nearly all of them have had the personal seal of approval from Dan Micciche and continued their development with us up to the next age group.

Thats going to have a huge bearing on opportunities for these lads. DM knows them all, has presumablaby followed their progression since he left, but most importantly, believes in all of them. He may look on some as closer to first team action than others, but he’ll believe that with the right coaching all of them have the basics required to play at senior level. That’s a huge boost for the lads themselves.
