Did you see Bradford’s pitch at all? Makes ours look like a carpet. Their grounds team did a social media vid explaining the impact of the frost. It was interesting. It’s just part or the package of being in league 2 I’m afraid.

How does the pitch know it’s in league 2?

Got torn to shreds within about 10 minutes yesterday. 3 games in a week won’t have helped but considering this is a brand new pitch, it should be holding up better surely?

Hopefully the 2 weeks off it has to recover will improve it significantly

From what ive heard the pitch has gone through significant investment so is that misinformation, corners being cut or are the groundspeople not up tk standard?

The process and investment kver the dummer seem to have been there so whats going wrong snd ehose sccountable? This has been sn ongoing problem for some time now and the necessary steps were supposed to have taken on place.

It's probably because we don't spend money on it to keep it in top shape. You look at clubs higher in the football pyramid who have artificial lights to simulate the sun and help the grass grow.
Not sure what we do but I'm confident we don't do that.

Have we sold ours then? Because we used to use them, iirc...

I passed the stadium he other early evening and the lights were on. I'm not sure of the benefit of racking the pitch and stamping down the debris. Bring back Joe the Groundsman of the year.

To give the club some credit it’s normally worse than this in about November.

The pitch was never a thought or concern under krobbo its only been in recent seasons and a managed decline on and off the pitch that its become a problem and a focus
