We are just monumentally shit at them aren’t we. I’ve noticed that we’ve been taking far more short corners, which I’m not against (Luke Williams gives a good talk on how effective they can be) but they’ve been comically bad too.

One of Colchester biggest threats was from our own corners, when we’d either lump it in and get caught on the break or try some elaborate short routine that ended up being passed straight to them.

We’re also equally shit as defending crosses into our box. Not sure who our set piece coach is, but they’ve got a bit of work to do.

We are traditionally shit at corners, inly time I've ever felt we're good at them was the 21/22 year.

Ironically some of our biggest moments have been from corners, JPT, Heel of God and Wheeler v Mansfield

We are and always have been awful at corners, with the crowning glory being the need for two players to stand by the corner flag and alternately neither of them deliver a decent cross. Its our thing.

Agreed. I just noticed how comically bad our short corner routines have been recently.

Even by our standards, I don’t remember them ever being as dire as this!

We might want to throw in that our free kick set pieces were equally awful yesterday
