I've just had a lovely text from my dear old Nan, who goes to a lunch club every week at the Age UK building in Peartree Bridge (or as I like to call it, 'Olditz'. Not to be confused with the big retirement village at Willen Park, which is 'Grantanamo Bay').

The club has given Christmas hampers to every lunch club attendee, with lots of goodies and a £20 gift card for Aldi in it. Given how badly the club does with reaching out to fans and community a lot of the time, I thought it was only fair to praise something they've got right. My nan is over the moon. :D

Ahh fuck we are playing on Friday aren't we. Screw Christmas and its confusing fixtures I am now pot committed to dinner with friends. Though the way my latter third of 2023 has gone pneumonia sounds like a laugh riot tbh

Well done to the club for this. Its exactly the kind of thing they should be doing in the community so I agree, praise and recognition when they get something right.
