Has anyone noticed the addition of Joshua Adepoju to the first team list on the Official website? That one slipped under the radar or did I miss something?

No wonder he hasn’t played for us - he’ll be 123 years old on 1 January.

Soccerbase have him listed too (as signed on 22nd November):

They do actually list everyone who’s featured for the first team so there’s lots of academy lads in there, but the odd thing is that Joshua hasn’t featured in the Trophy games.

Really not sure what’s happened. If we knew that he’d just turned 17 then that might be a clue that he’s signed his first pro deal, but as mentioned, the age on the OS is a bit misleading. :lol:

Which considering he is a first year scholar for the U18's makes his age even more intriguing. Could be that he was just given a squad number on the off chance cause apparently Sky have him down as shirt number 96.

That link’s from 2022. He’s now a 2nd year scholar so would be at least 17, so eligible for a professional contract.

I'm pretty sure this happens every year, and more often than not relates to a player we never hear about ever again
