Sad news regarding the passing of former club photographer Phil Smith.
Met and spoke to him a number of times, a very interesting guy, and always enjoyed reading his articles in the club programme.
Rest in Peace.

Very sad news.

I remember during the NHS days Phil would spot me and my brother getting players signatures during reserve/youth games and would ask us to be ball boys for the game.

For some reason I always enjoyed his programme notes the most out of everything in there. I didn't know who he was or why he mattered until I got older and realised - and rereading them with that knowledge made it fun to revisit. I haven't got a programme since he stopped.

Lovely guy by the sounds. RIP.
