Honestly think he never had much in the way of methods. Look at the clubs he was successful with. Scunthorpe - not long before they had been in the championship so probably had a good bunch of players.
-Fleetwood - rich backer (relatively speaking) with plenty of resources. Promotion was expected.
-Salford - more rich backers and plenty of resources. Promotion again expected.
-Motherwell - don’t know much about this one but it’s clear he failed there.
-MK Dons - a strong squad and well backed in terms of transfers. Failed miserably.
I think he is just a bit shit at the whole management thing.
