As big Ange has said about the Spurs fans - Let the fans dream, they go through enough pain.

Sounds very familiar to MK doesnt it

Its only been 2 games this week but no-one expected 6 points, 7 goals and the manner in which we now play
4 points off play-offs is nothing with so much of the season to go. The top 7 teams are in very good form so we have to keep winning.
My only concerns are cover for our vital players should they need a rest or get injured. We need another striker in Jan as Im not convinced with Eisa and his lack of movement. And maybe a Gilbey backup
Id take being 4 pts off play-offs come end Dec and then hope we can get 2-3 key loanees/signings in Jan to get us into that top 6

Nov league games
Newport away 19th
Kingston home 10th
Salford away 13th
Grimsby home 21st

If we are to get out of this league we should get loads of points from these ie 3x wins and a draw or 10/12pts

COYD, we are starting to believe/dream

Don't want to put a damper on dreams, but next week will be a test of our ability to do better in L1 than we did last year, if we get promoted. Currently rock bottom of table and lost all their last 6 games.
If we can't put up a good show against them there's not much point in getting promoted.

League is the bread and butter. Anything more than an impressive and good performance is a bonus.

I think we can still do it, we've got enough time to install our style and make us an exciting and tempting side to join for players in the Jan Window. Until then, I think we've got plenty of cover. We've got a very big squad.

I remember GA saying about this league, more than any other, that teams tend to struggle for consistency and long win runs are unusual. This season seems to be no different with 3 points separating 10th to 18th. I think we can do it.

Dreaming is for Spurs fans. They do it every August and it always turns in to a nightmare around Feb for them.

We can certainly get playoffs imo and who knows from there. I'm just enjoying watching bloody good football no matter what happens.

Supported by The Beat, if I remember correctly. They were great.

Only on the Friday I think - it was Icehouse on the Saturday and Sunday.

I think it was both!
I have a recollection (surprisingly given the state I was in) that he said "I'd like to thank Icehouse - cheers from audience - and The Beat - more cheers. It's been really nice working with those guys". Of course he might well have been referring to them playing on a different day.
Whatever, it WAS 40 years ago.

You're right - they all played all three nights - funny how your mind plays tricks on you (or at least mine does).

I watched the first night from the trees at the back of the stage, had a ticket for the second night, and then paid the bouncer on the door to get in on the third night. Golden days.
