It was a small tweak for me as the most obvious. Rather than getting overrun in midfield, we stuck another body in there but it actually allowed more players to flood forward.

Max Dean played very well but the running of Gilbey, Payne, Robson and Grant behind him meant that there were players to help with the attack. We didn't need to just rely on individual brilliance to score a goal. Tomlinson and Norman were also able to break forward.

The future looks great if we are going to play like that more often than not.

Dean is a significant upgrade on Eisa and that can be shown by the 3rd and 4th goals
The 3rd was pure class and Eisa wouldn't have got anywhere near the ball.
The 4th shows when Gilby had the ball and was bearing down on goal Eisa was strolling into the box making no effort Dean starting 20 yds behind him bust a gut to get towards the back post passing sulking Eisa on the way.
If everything doesn't go Eisas way he's a waste of space and will stroll about making no effort at all apart from falling to the ground every 5 mins in a pathetic attempt to con the ref

Really some people do post nonsense on here.

How can Max Dean have started 20 yards behind Eisa for the fourth goal when Eisa was brought on FOR Dean? Was Max Dean running from the bench or something?

Payne was the one going to the back post for the last goal; Eisa is the one actually holding back to hover in space for a cut back or rebound. That's what an intelligent forward does. He's a quality striker and the level of slagging he gets on here sometimes is ridiculous.

Alexander always referred to the team as 'them', Williamson calls us 'we'.
