Is it on the OS now BCS? Where is it confirmed (not doubting you BTW).

As I stated elsewhere, I'm pretty excited about this.

Just took a look:

"Micciche, 38, has been appointed First-Team Manager and is joined by the experienced Keith Millen as Assistant Manager while Dean Lewington steps up to become a player-coach."

I think that an experienced number two who worked in such roles in the Premier League is a big coup. Hopefully it works out. I still think that our recruitment department is in need of a shake-up, as someone like Mitchell being director of football would be the icing on the cake, as our recruitment has really gone down hill since the promotion season.

No bedwetting, please, if he loses his first few games.

Excellent news! Really pleased that we’ve gone back to doing things our way (not just in a footballing sense, but promoting from within (sort of)) and having people involved who get this club and everything about it.

Given time, some of you are going to hate the football though, I’m sure..

The photo looks a bit rushed too on the official site. Just grab the nearest scarf and snap.

But better an early appointment and rushed photo than dragging on and on.

Being honest, I feel a bit disappointed and underwhelmed. I was hoping for an experienced man at this stage, especially as the novice-RN approach did not work.

However, I am hoping that I am proved wrong and that it works out. Let's get behind both them and the team as we seek to stay up as the main priority.

Could be an interesting ride....

RN was not a novice. He manager the first team of Hearts. Micciche on the other hand has no first team experience. He knows the club, but I am hoping the experienced hand of the king will steer the rudderless ship in the right direction!

I do like what Micciche has said so far, about the brand of football - more attacking and expressive. So that is a positive start.

There’ll be bedwetting the first time the Pivot DM drops back into the D to receive the ball from Nicholls and opens up the centre of the park, let alone when players probe for openings on the edge of the box rather than shoot from 30 yards.

Just rejoice in the fact that we’ll see some attempt at playing decent football again. :D
