Considering we’re in league 2, which is basically League 2 North, I don’t think we could have expected much more

Historically we were always perennial relegation battlers in this table. I see it as a massive improvement.

Whilst I was never a massive away attendee I went to some pretty poorly attended games over the years, it is crazy how much it has grown and just the atmosphere that has some with it.

I much prefer away games to home for this reason. New places, better atmosphere generally a good day out even if the football is turgid and either way league 1 or 2 I get my Blackpool weekender back which is happy bloody days for me!!

I go to all matches with a feasible rail awayday (CBA with driving) which precludes quite a few evening games unfortunately. If we somehow manage to get through the playoffs, there'll be a lot more London and home counties fixtures.

While I know this is tongue in cheek (as always!) its actually not too bad, given how northernly dominated the league was this year.

So how come Swindon AFCW and Gillingham (not notably northern) managed more than us? I agree that it's not too bad all things considered but if northernness was a big factor, the other southern teams' following would've suffered too. But they didn't.

I reckon it's because more of them attended the matches.
