It's a no brainer. Fail hopelessly and you still walk away with a big fat wallet.

Also makes total sense. Sarri was a dud. People who don’t understand a football club again running a conclusion that means fuck all really, same people who said Arsenal should be grateful for Wenger for doing well 15 years prior, and fuck all since barring top 4 finishes etc. Couldn’t understand the fans frustrations.

Frank going to Chelsea makes TOTAL sense.

His right hand man, Jody Morris is key to pretty much every young Chelsea player on the books at the minute. Having used Mount, Tomori and battled with Abraham especially last season, players they may have to use with a transfer ban. It makes total sense. Who else is walking into that job knowing they can’t sign players for a year or so?
We harp on and on about young British managers needing a chance at top clubs, one finally gets a go at a club he can trust and can trust him and every man and his dog seems bemused by it.

I’d rather this happen than another Sarri. Or Villas-Boas type. Nurture British managers. Only a good thing.

As for loyalty, works both ways doesn’t it. They’ve lost two of their best players last season already, might struggle to replace them and if he gets sacked in October for a poor start to the season then he will regret not going for Chelsea. Derby wouldn’t show him much loyalty so why should he show them.

As Alby says, the Lampard move makes sense for so many reasons.

- there are not many more big name managers for Chelsea to appoint
- if they did appoint one it wouldn’t be his side and couldn’t sign anyone
- Chelsea are so far behind the top 2 a top 4 finish will likely be good enough, especially considering the point above
- if Lampard does a shit job you can blame the transfer ban and not replacing Hazard, neither his fault
- fans are calling for youth to be used - Lampard is likely to use some of the lads which will instantly receive praise
- Lampard’s reputation will not be tarnished if he does badly, Chelsea love him
- lots of fans didn’t like Sarri, it makes fans happy with the board
- If Derby are not in the top 6 by November I reckon he would be sacked, they came in the same position as the previous year and points wise they were a point off the previous seasons haul
