What a difference it makes to have a couple of options off the bench, Grant coming on and changing formation to a flat back 4 changed the game, Hunter was industrious, busy and creative and came away with 2 assists while Dennis was the big man up top we've been missing - a real handful for the Col U defenders and obviously bagged the winner!
Credit where it's due to GA for changing things when needed.
I prefer us playing with 4 at the back and having extra man further up field, our wing backs were exploited which lead to both goals and less said about the Communication from the back 3 for those goals - the better.

I was so pleased to see Grant come on. He helped us become more creative and positive in midfield. It gives me hope we might get to see some actual football this season.

To add a bit of pessimism to the fire, having watched the second half back, I thought we we’re absolutely dire, including the subs.

Every time the ball was played into Dennis, he was running the other way. He barely saw any of the ball. However, that very much looked like lack of match fitness, which is of course expected. Fantastic strike for his goal though, as he had little room to get the ball out of his feet.

Hunter came into the game as it went on and great to see Grant back out there and while not at his best, that’ll likely be down to match fitness as well.
