Our pressing reminded me of the first season under Manning.

Norman would wait for the right moment then suddenly press their RB/RWB. Similar to what KKH used to do. We won the ball a few times doing that.

Yes he did. Just the one but that's all that was needed

early days but such a difference from last season. different level of character, physicality, and intent.

leko and eisa will do real damage in this league. every player has their price but if they really want to back up the talk of getting out of this division as quickly as possible, it better be a damn good offer to let either one go.

the right side built around gilbey, o'hora, and norman looks very strong.

left side was weaker. lewie will help. harvie might need some competition. robson was good but might be more suited to home games than some of the brawls you get away.

williams will be crucial, exactly what we needed.

it's not the 'mk way' but I'm not sure that's really meant much since karl robinson left. and we scored 5 goals today.

Never seen a Dons win so positively received, VFTOS could be fun.

Can we talk about the starting XI/bench?!

Well, mainly the bench:

Harness
Holland
Ilunga
Hunter
Anker
Scholtz
Devoy

Firstly, it's obvious we're lacking quality in depth.

Secondly, when we're playing two strikers/CFs - how does Dean or Dennis not make the bench? Surely they're either injured or off on loan somewhere?

Same thing with Burns.

Also an academy player (Scholtz) making the bench as well as coming on (I've made a separate thread about that).

Just watched the extended highlights
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DOO9ex-MOdQ

As others have said - Our press is very impressive, so many examples of us winning the ball back and countering. Look to have so much more bite in midfield.

That midfield three off Williams, Robson and Gilbey … something to get excited about. Fair play to Robson as well who looked to have had his best game for us since Portsmouth away two seasons ago.
