From a selfish point of view, isn't our best hope that he returns for Everton, establishes himself again and we finally get some sell-on money when he meets the various appearance thresholds etc? |

Won't happen. He's out of contract in the summer. He's also out injured for the remainder of the season. The only way it could happens is if they renew is contract and that is absolutely no chance of that. |

I hope he can just get back playing again. Someone in the mid championship or possibly even one of the L1 sides who get promoted so maybe Portsmouth or Derby. Even if he is right mentally, its far from certain he will be able to get back to the level he once was, in fact its probably not likely at all. Playing at the right level will hopefully maximise his chances. I hope so anyway. |

Watching the clips of him on Sky the other evening I would suggest he already has a club lined up and I expect it to be in the Premier League (or how about a shock move to join Eric Dier and Harry Kane at Bayern?), he seemed very happy and is expecting to be fully fit for preseason. The reason I say I think it is done is he was asked and said something like he is an Everton player so won't say anything out of respect for them. |
