I know they're in the ninth tier, but our 'own' AFC are getting some competition for publicity, along with the rise of Wrexham. Shame.

Anyone who puts Milton Keynes down as a (yawn) 'soulless place that's all concrete' etc should visit Croydon.
It was my unfortunate luck to be there two weeks ago, mercifully, only for 48h.
Hadn't been for years. Time has not been kind to it - and it was hardly an architectural Helen Of Troy originally.
The best way to describe it is 'a wannabee Luton'.

The South of Crodyon is nice in places, more Surrey commuter belt really. I used to live on Northampton Road. Big detatched house backing onto the Tramline. But yes, you're correct. Croydon is mainly a shooting and stabbing hotspot. AFC Croydon are a friendly little Club overshadowed by Palace.

That's more or less what one of the junior Ramones said when I told him I was going there!
He suggested taking a taxi everywhere rather than walk. Especially at night.
