Pitch looking very good, unlike Portugal Women. Standard is absolutely horrific.

Nice afternoon, good weather, decent crowd. No obnoxious away fans (and no obnoxious home fans for that matter). Enjoyed it, though a few goals would have helped.

Better opposition would have helped too. The England team were not too bad, but Portugal were absolutely dreadful. I’d say maybe marginally better than Sunday League.

Considering how popular the sport is there, I’m surprise their Women’s team isn’t near the level if England and the USA etc.

The real connoisseurs out there will have noticed we have changed the goal nets back to a square netting. That hexagonal stuff we had last year was horrible.

Does it make a difference?

Maybe our players will notice them and kick the ball in them this season

Composure in front of goal in yesterday's game was as bad as we managed last season.

How did the pitch hold up to 90 minutes?

Yeah, I just said, the hexagonal shit looked horrible.

Of course the elite goal arrangement is for D-stanchions like at the hockey stadium.
