Everyone said it at the time that it wasn't the right time to recruit someone with no managerial experience, yet the club thought it was. So very frustrating.
We'd still be in L1 with Jacko if Winkie had pulled the trigger a month earlier. Jacko was statistically better in terms of PPG than Manning, and we only missed out on safety by a single point. An earlier appointment for him would have meant he'd have had a month of prep for the transfer window too, I imagine we'd have brought in at least one more player or a different player that would have suited him more.
