It's Pete's train set, and we should all feel honoured to be granted the privilege of paying to play with it.

I think this appointment makes sense for a lot of reasons

1 - He has relative success in L1, L2 and National League, including two promotions
2 - His appointment shouldn't overly divide the fanbase or be controversial
3 - He's at an age where he has played football relatively recently but also has a good whack of experience and will have some solid contacts in the game
4 - He isn't a Cowley.

I’ve been critical about the club’s risk taking on the footballing side, so I’m pleased with this.

I hope we can build an effective brand of football without compromising standards too much.

Personally not a fan because chants are difficult to make with a four syllable boss.

Was having a massive fight with DIPPY, who seems to think the Allez oh chant isn't a tough one to fit into with his name...

Got to say, watching his first interview he seems very confident and capable. Probably the most assured first interview we've heard with a new coach.

Sounds like he's made a lot of his year off with study/reflection etc.

Although not a bad appointment Pete should have considered someone with an easier name for chants and songs. But, Graham and Chris, top of the League fits. Remember Pompey fans with Harry and Jim top of the League. (Harry Redknapp and Jim Smith)
