Hughes' sacking was sort of inevitable - they were 17th or something and the fans had well and truly turned etc.
Gills sacking Harris, however, should make Winkie sit up and take notice as the similarities are clear. 8th in the league, not too bad on the surface. Good start to the season too on paper. But negative football under-utilising a decent squad and a stark contrast in form over the last month or so. Hopefully the two Chairmen get chatting after the match today and compare notes!
Difference is new owners. They were probably waiting to sack him and wanted a slight opportunity as he was hired under the old regime. Nothing unusual about that. Plus as league 2 clubs go they are financially very stable so can afford to sack him. We can't afford feck all so no wonder we take ages to sack. Mind you get it right in the first place you wouldn't need to sack them
