1. The season is over. Thank heavens.

2. We don't have to see those kits again, except the fans who wear them.

2.b New kits. Always a cute exciting quirk.

3. Plenty of new stadiums to experience if you travel to away games.

4. It's currently, as of writing, a bank holiday (I'm at work).

5. Summer is coming. Sunshine. Happiness.

6. Regardless what League we're in, new signings are coming and potentially a new manager. That stuff in pre season especially is always fun.

7. We've got a local team doing us proud, hoping to win at Wembley for a second straight season.

8. Festival season is on the horizon.

9. Still got Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, playoffs, MK Dons Fortnight, The golf, the cricket, the motorsport all to come.

10. Any holidays coming up??? If so, there's that.

11. You woke up this morning.

Smile :D

Was just about to post this. Nothing says a difficult summer on the forum like Filthy threads. I was going to sit the summer out on here but now you're back I'll stick around.

82 and still alive ( just ) what's not to like.

We have an adequate defence, just a couple of effective forwards and we can rip L2 apart, no problem.

 I know some folk's summers don't truly begin until I've posted a pre-season rant or two.

However I've had the spiritual awakening equivalent of a lobotomy so unfortunately there will be less 50-page ordeals to wade through this time around.

Let's be honest, League 1 or League 2, it actually makes very little difference.

All I ask for, is that we're in a league where promotion is a realistic aim. I don't think League 1 would be that next season, whereas League 2 should be (although who knows what will happen!). Just take a look at AFC, who would have expected promotion this season but have finished just above relegation to the National League!

What we can't do is go into next season with the mentality that we had this season. We can't go into it disappointed, which is a huge concern for me and one of the reason's why I think a new coaching team may be needed.

Jackson seems like an emotional guy from his interviews (a good thing) but I think picking himself up again next season will be a struggle.

Loving this attitude!
