I am thinking if Jackson isn't under contract we should definitely be looking at our options, I am no expert but I have come up with a few options...

Maybe out of reach

Nathan Jones (probably wouldn't drop down but looking at what he did at Luton would be a great option)
Danny Cowley (Knows what is needed, not known for a good style but was Tisdale?)

Possibly available to us

Darrell Clarke (experienced hand at lower levels and a decent record)
Karl Robinson (Would definitely take the job but is going back a good idea)
Paul Ince (as above)
Grant McCann (Never managed in League Two but an experienced hand)
Leam Richardson (was he considered previously is he still an option)
Lee Bowyer (decent spell at Charlton who were in chaos not so good at Birmingham who were in chaos)

Available journeymen

Micky Mellon (knows his way round and has had success not so much recently)
Ian Holloway (how's that for an old school name)

I am sure there are many more options out there and honestly I would give most of them better odds of getting us straight back up than Mark Jackson who is still finding his feet as a boss and would now have to learn another league.

Oh I am sure there are more but pretty sure they are of a similar ilk - or we could do the MK thing and pick someone we have never heard of from the academy of who knows where

If it’s somebody that nobody knows much about, we have to go for Des Buckingham.

If it’s somebody with experience here, Leam Richardson would be my choice

I can't see the club sacking Jackson to be honest. I think they'll give him a pre-season but he'll need quick results in the league or he'll be gone pretty quickly.

Get Micky Mellon as far to fuck away from any conversations involving us as possible.

No names will come to this place. If our last three managers have been done on the cheap in league one. Double that for league two. We can't buy a serving manager out of his contract I mean I don't think we have ever done that so really why are we kidding ourselves. Jackson has his faults but so do the club and unless he is on a short term contract it would be counterproductive as people have said it takes money out the budget but also takes sweeting out of finding players as he hires and fires the management and he doesn't need any distractions cause he has a lot of work to do this summer

I'd assume Jackson will stay on for now, but if they are considering moving on, we already have Robbie Stockdale in the building- I'd consider him.

Lets see if Notts County win their PlayOff final on Saturday. If not, Pete/Liam must still have Luke William's phone number in the rolodex and a big team in the league above might be tempting.
If not, then I'd be happy with anyone who tries to implement a possession-based philosophy. Rather another inexperienced person like the Snake than watching boring binary football with Tisdale
