We are stuck in a cycle that will only be broken with Pete making a business decision.

What decision does Pete need to make and how will relegation help with either meking the decision or the decision itself?

Going down from Championship to League 1 seems to be Ok, but the drop to League 2 seems a wider gap and more difficult to bounce back. Granted we did it, Portsmouth too, but Bradford nor Doncaster have (this time). Luton fell further and took a long time to get back, while Bournemouth had new rich owners.

Maybe once is Ok, but if a club starts making a habit of it, there is a risk that it's easier to go down than up.

I don't think there is much difference in the gap after all Sunderland, Ipswich, Charlton, Sheffield Wednesday and more have failed to bounce back for multiple seasons

As in, it makes no massive difference if we get relegated, compared with if Pete sells up or accepts/seeks outside investment. Otherwise we are stuck in the L1-L2-L1- occasional Championship- L1-L2 cycle.

I could probably cope with one season in the basement, IF it meant a proper re construction and a quick return, what I don’t want is another repeat of this seasons abysmal showing if we manage stay in league 1.
