Hopefully a bit of light relief for you in these stressful times. If not, then please tell me to sod off, I'm big enough and ugly enough to take it...

Long story short. My daughter is getting married in a couple of weeks and I'm trying to knock together a witty FotB speech. Most of my anecdotes revolve around football as she's fanatical about County and a bit of a character to say the least.

I'll get to the point...we last played you on 6th Feb 2010. You beat us at our place. As we were walking away from the ground said daughter lost the plot and came out with a string of abuse (albeit pretty mild-ish). And as she was ranting at your crew across the road from us she walked head first into a lamp-post.

Does a) anyone happen to remember this and b) if they do, would they like to pen a few witty words for me to read out as part of said speech.

I know this is a massive longshot. But it would be a buzz if it came together.

In terms of footballing matter - whilst I hope come Monday that County are battling in League One next season of course, I know that your lot are struggling so best of luck in your season decider.

Best wishes

Martin

You can reassure her that she's not alone in that outcome for those who abuse Dons fans... :D

It's Pete's train set and you should all feel honoured to be granted the privilege of paying to watch him play with it.

Most of those who went that day won't be around this forum still, I'd wager  maybe Camdenite?

Camden always tells a story of a Stockport fan giving wanker signs to the official supporters bus from his moving car before driving into the car in front.

Think that was the promotion trip though. So to hear a few years later of this is quite amusing.

I wasn't there that day in 2010 sadly (Think Andros Townsend scored) but hope your daughter has a great day all the same. :D

And all the best to you too, despite the abuse (as mentioned above  ) you are competing with Northampton so it's only right we cheer you on...

I was there, I remember Andros Townsend scoring. I was only 16 and went with my family that day, I don't remember much except Andros scoring and lots of Sale Sharks branding around the place

Bloody Hell! It's all down to me, eh?

The incident with someone driving into the back of another car in the car park while giving it the big'un, was definitely the 2008 promotion game.

I think I can only recall going one more time after that as we seemed to mainly play them in midweek in the following years and I'd definitely have given those a miss.

Long and the short of it, is that sorry, I can't help.

I think the gentleman is referring to your hangover after we have unbelievably scraped a win.
