No, but a huge blow. Presumably same will happen with most other proven managers. Edging closer to the usual young and cheap choice. BTW: Michael O'Neill has pulled out of talks with Scotland just as we're looking for a manager. Coincidence? Yes. Until this is from the horses mouth, I take it with a pinch of salt, surely the past six months has taught all of us that. If Pete has the same ambition his mouth always says he does then maybe he needs to up the sakes in terms of recruiting a manager at least. I am not saying bankrupt us, but hopefully he has learnt that cheap doesn't always mean results. |
