Another reason I don’t want him to have it just yet is that i want him involved in this club for a good few years yet. His work is too valuable for our long term goals as a club and I’d hate to see us lose a prize asset because he over-reached himself before he was ready. He may feel differently, of course, and that’s his prerogative, but he should know that one day, when the circumstances are right, then he’ll be the main man.
I’m neither in the Rubio in or out camp as I don’t know anything about him but if he is as good as some are saying we would have to be careful with this idea as if we think he’s too valuable and needs longer in his current role and he disagrees he may feel his chances at MKDons are limited and look elsewhere? Just putting it out there.
