After his time in Scotland at least we won't need to pay for a translator

Anyway, back to Ed Rubio...

Another reason I don’t want him to have it just yet is that i want him involved in this club for a good few years yet. His work is too valuable for our long term goals as a club and I’d hate to see us lose a prize asset because he over-reached himself before he was ready. He may feel differently, of course, and that’s his prerogative, but he should know that one day, when the circumstances are right, then he’ll be the main man.

I’m neither in the Rubio in or out camp as I don’t know anything about him but if he is as good as some are saying we would have to be careful with this idea as if we think he’s too valuable and needs longer in his current role and he disagrees he may feel his chances at MKDons are limited and look elsewhere? Just putting it out there.

It shows the difference between Scottish & English football again, Hibernian 58% wins, Rotherham 7% wins.

I'd rather we get Ray Stubbs.

Dan Machiche now 4/6! with Sky bet

Just to support the don't pay too much attention to bookies statement, Pavel Pogrebnyak is 25/1

Pete's put a bet on it, trying to get back some money we lost on Neilson. :D

He'll probably go as low as 1/12 and still won't get the job

You've got to wonder, if we did get a permanent manager in very quickly (still think its unlikely), then how long has Pete been looking for a suitable replacement? Wouldn't surprise me if he's been in contact with a few behind the scenes since early-December to pre-empty Neilson not improving things. Being in contact with someone like Dan Micciche is a lot less high profile than if he had been in discussions with an established/experienced manager.

My guess would be that very much like player recruitment, the club will always have a list of a few names they fancy. It would only be prudent to do so.

Watford have sacked their manager and are expecting to sign his replacement later today or tomorrow!
