We scraped results against Wycombe, Portsmouth and Derby. No reason why we can't do the same against Burnley and Burton.

However, in recent games we have played some good football but also some of the worst we've seen all season.

The team have to turn up and play with intelligence and 100% effort. Defensively, we have to be switched on for 90+ minutes. Attack-wise, our creative players have to start making good decisions (grossly absent in recent games).

I think it would be almost impossible to get a result against Burnley. I guess there is a chance Rotherham could get an extremely delayed 3 point deduction

Yep. I see what I've done there. I need to stop posting between more complicated activities...

They're both northern and share five letters, so I know you know what I was talking about.

A mistake I've made myself multiple times.

But yeah, a point is not out of the question. I do feel that the draws against Portsmouth and Derby do not tell the full picture though. Against 11 men Portsmouth, we were utterly shocking. We only got a point as they went down to 10 in the first half. As for Derby, we were terrible once again and truly robbed a point. 5-1 would have been fairer result.

Barnsley did lose away to Burton though, so there is some hope. However, from what I saw on Saturday, our players have given up and don't care either way.

My mate lent me a DVD called that.
Never watched it.
I guess it's about submarines.
Not my cup of tea really.

All I ask for is that the team show some fight on the last 2 games. We can't play like we have in the last couple

El capitano needs to do some serious team motivation. I'm sure he doesn't want to finish playing in L2.

Can't say the club doesn't deserve what its getting.

100% correct.
However it’s certainly not true at this stage that “Relegation is all but confirmed” and that’s not me being a happy clapper. (Never did buy a ticket on Keyser’s train. No Siree )
Do your sums and look at the Goal difference. The odds are not in our favour but it certainly ain’t over yet.

The club are getting exactly what they deserve.

People can blame the departures of Twine, Darling with a few others like Kasumu and the the loss of Parrott and Coventry. But realistically the club clearly didn’t want to capitalise on the success of last season. The recruitment has been shocking. Not a single new player can hold their heads up high and not a single one of them would have made last seasons team, let alone the squad.

Manning was let down by the summer recruitment and the January transfer window was a joke.

Pete is responsible for this. He could have used some of the money from Twine, Darling and Matt O to grow on last seasons success and get quality players in. Instead he bought a tonne of mediocre players.

He’s getting exactly what he deserves. Sweeting is a joke too and the person we should be grateful for last season is Russell Martin for the players he brought in.

League Two is exactly what they deserve.

I agree with most of what you say. However, there is a rumour back last summer that the Twine money would be paid in instalments I think I read this on a Supporters Forum minutes. If that is true then that is a huge influx of money that we might be able to earmark, but unless we are risking it would we spend it? No cause we have so risk adverse its scary.

As I said on another post Fleetwood signed Jack Marriott in Jan. We signed Max Dean who doesn't even make the bench. In a team who is crying out for goals we sign an 18 year old that hardly ever gets used. The ambition was clear to see (I do like Max, but when clubs like Fleetwood who must have less money coming in than us sign someone with a wealth of League 1 and some Championship experience you know something is wrong with us). Sweeting was left to find players in Jan along with recruiting for a new manager. He spread himself so thin he couldn't do it all as I guess December is when you would start to filter out who you need and ramp up your approaches. Didnt it take us till the middle of Jan to sign someone? Please correct me if I am wrong. We lack ambition we always have. Pete talks the talk but he is getting to retirement age which is why Sweeting was bumped to DoF. However, he was head of recruitment before that so why can't he sort out a decent squad.

99% of all transfer fees are paid in installments.

Good to know, but the Dons know what’s to come by way of payments and when, so why can’t they have instalment plans for players brought in?
