Yeah that happened. I stayed after to get Ugbo and Tavernier on my shirt and there was one bloke really laying in to Ebanks-Landell, Williams, Wootton, Cisse. Wootton and EEL got off the bus and walked down the road and this one guy was really going into them (he was with others but they weren’t saying anything- they were just with him so calling it a group is unfair) He was telling them all that they had no passion, were not trying, it’s a disgrace they take their wages, etc. Cisse came off the coach to talk to him and this bloke kept calling them pussies, etc when they went back on.
Felt sorry for the players, you cannot tell me any footballer intentionally plays crap or intentionally misses a pass. It’s more of a case that they simply are not good enough, actually don’t know what they are being asked to do, or the way they are being asked to play is poor.
I believe it’s the latter, but there is no need to abuse and give it to a player who for the last 2 hours you were supporting.
EDIT: to add that whenever any player walked past he was telling them that they had no passion, etc.
He kept saying that Neilson actually stopped and engaged in conversation with him that he would ‘respect’ him, but whenever any player did the same he was calling them all pussies for walking away and getting on the bus after.
