It was Jenson, Accrington goalkeeper that got sent off. So their No.2 should be playing on Saturday against us.

Won't get too excited by this as we often only muster one shot on target a game...

Couldn’t have asked for better results!

Stanley’s 2nd choice isn’t actually a bad keeper, so don’t get too excited about that. They did have a defensive injury though too though.

A win Saturday is absolutely critical.

What a great night for us without kicking a ball hopefully this will give JACKO and the squad a big boost for Saturday, Accrington are no mugs though hit the crossbar twice 3.1 flattered pompey, you've been warned!

Mad what a difference a week can make. Obviously we are still in a hole - but the results last night combined with our win on Saturday have really closed the gap and it looks like we might be able to get ourselves out of this mess yet. Oxford's slide has been impressive and I don't think Manning is the right man to turn it around. They are only three points ahead of us and haven't won in 10 games.

It's the hope that kills you.

But I'm still daring to hope.

If (and that's a big if) we can beat Accrington, things will look a little more promising. Oxford and Morecambe play one another, so at least 1 of them will be dropping points.

I'm still not convinced, as although we took the 3 points, I thought our performance on Saturday was pretty poor.

Accrington and Morecambe are just as poor as us and Cambridge. Yeah I know it is a big ask, but if we win the three we are believe we can win that will not only boost us out the bottom four, but better out GD and makes theirs worse. As someone said GD is going to be massively key. We are just the right side of it so why not make it better.

I am clinging onto the belief that something will happen over the next two weeks. If it doesn't then I happily take my place on the League 2 bus that is waiting to depart Bletchley Bus Depot.
