Has sadly passed away.

The club tweeted that he was a regular at MK Dons, along with his wife, Anne. I never knew this. He was also at out most recent Club Partner dinner.

Did he have some sort of involvement at the club? Or simply just a fan of football that would attend many grounds and events?

Motty was a legend. The best commentator ever.

Barry Davies was great, but Motty was the best.

Yes - he often said on Talk Sport that he "would be at MK on Saturday"....

I'd never seen Motty at S:MK, not even in Club Red, so I assume he sat in Club Black. A true legend and proud to hear he watched us - RIP to a true legend.

Agree.
Never knew he was 'a regular'.

He certainly was a regular. I bumped into him and his wife just as the 2nd lockdown was beginning to loosen. We were still on MKFM at the time and we'd been given a media pass for some reason. He was in front of me having his temperature taken before we were allowed into the stadium. Couldn't have been any nicer to be honest. A lovely man. RIP.

Last year I had a meal at the George in Little Brickhill and they said he sometimes went in there and that he lived nearby. So I guess MKD was his closest league club.

Turns out he was a regular there and even went there on his last night to watch the City-Leipzig game.

Mottie was a living legend, the research he made before commentating on a game was phenomenal, pages and pages of facts and figures.
The best in his profession by a country mile, sadly the full time whistle was for him.
