THE CONCRETE ROUNDABOUT (TCR)

Its my first day off in a while and I've had a few afternoon beers but here goes.

We have had many brilliant players, we've had many we love. But there's some who just have a connection with the fanbase and Woz is one them. Today he posted a photo on Instagram of himself on crutches after the Forest Green game, celebrating the win and saying how important the win was. This really made me smile.

I genuinely believe the guy would have got a big 6 figure move in the summer if we didn't have another centre back named Harry Darling. He's been Mr Reliable during a shit season and was probably the unsung hero of last year but more importantly he 'gets it'. There's a young girl in the corner who waves an Irish flag at full time, every game he makes a conscious effort to walk over, clap and wave regardless of the result. She ended up with his match shirt at the end of last season. Selfishly I hope he stays with us long term and is Lewies succesor as captain, however he's also a player I'll never say a bad word about and wish him all the best if a move pops up.

It's a shit year, hopefully we can look up now. But despite the misery, Wozza has been the consistent positive throughout.

You say "But there's some who just have a connection with the fanbase and Woz is one them." I guess that's partially true. But I actually think he is still under-appreciated here. He's so good but in a quiet, no fuss way and some people only see brilliance when players showboat.

We're lucky to have him.

Maybe so, and in a way I also hope so. Best of luck to him. But in your opinion Russ was also shit and we'd never have came 3rd last year based on your predictions, so there is hope... Nice to have you back again after an unfortunate defeat, was quiet your end after 10 points from 6 games.

My emotions are back to the front. I’ll be gone again soon.
