I suppose if it can be shown that he was called back from loan to play for Chelsea U 23 whilst at Barnsley, that would back up what’s being said...anybody know if that was the case ?

Personally, I’m taking that at face value. However, many weren’t yesterday. Also, I can understand why the details weren’t disclosed last week. Better to keep the opposition guessing.. Same goes for the Walsh & Golbourne injuries. It’s always better to release such info post match.


They could announce this once the team sheets are in.
