Not seen this anywhere, but we have appointed former Northampton and Wycombe legend Steve Brown as our new head of coaching.

Some of the feet lovers haven't taken it very well. :lol:

Can imagine Wycombe will also lose their shit when they find out too. :lol: :lol:

He was recently made redundant by the FA, looks like we have moved quickly.

He's been talent scouting in the FA for the last 3 and a bit years.

Assume this must be as a replacement for Neil McFarlane, as I thought he was head of coaching?!

Presume there will be some sort of announcement. Here's the link;

Somewhat confused; never hear of Northampton (near Leeds yeah?) and Wycome is the guy who marries Lydia in Pride and Prejudice. What has all this got to do with us. :? :?

Looks like this is a role that has taken over a year to fill.

Neil McFarlane is the First team coach, the last 'Head of coaching' we had was Ritchie Barker. :?

Hopefully Brown will be involved in the recruitment side of things too. Given his recent job, he will have a decent knowledge of young English players.

Sounds like a very experienced and knowledgeable guy, good to have him on board.

:oops: Embarrassing admission ahead...
For a brief moment in the late 80's/early 90's I had a flirtation with the Wobblers. It was meaningless, and they mean nothing to me I swear. But for a short while, when they were bottom of the whole football league and in danger of folding up, I wished then well. All that ended long before MK Dons.
Anyway, the reason for my admission of a sinful past was that during those dark days, Steve Brown was my favourite player. And so, although it reminds me of foolish mistakes, I'm pleased at the appointment and hope he does well.

Slut ;)

No No No, Southampton is on the South coast and Northampton is on the North coast. Obvious innit.
