DECEMBER TCR PLAYER OF THE MONTH RESULTS August POTM – Lee Nicholls September POTM – Lee Nicholls October POTM – Ed Upson November POTM – Peter Pawlett December POTM – Chuks Aneke 3rd – Lee Nicholls The jury is still out for some with our new number 1, but you cannot deny his two POTM awards, and regularly performing well in votes gained per game. The bulk of his points this month have come for the Rotherham came where he basically kept our hopes alive for large parts of the game, when we were under the cosh, and for his heroics keeping the Posh at bay despite the odds being against us. 2nd – Aidan Nesbitt Despite only playing just 2 out of the 7 this month the popular winger makes it into the top two. I’m sure that says something about the rest of the team, whereby someone playing just two games can rank so highly. He continues to excite the fans with his no nonsense approach attacking defences with speed and cunning, and has been a big loss for most of this month with an ankle injury. 1st – Chuks Aneke Chuks featured in all but one game this month when he was rested for the Checkatrade game versus Chelsea. He has picked up points on a regular basis saving his best performance for the last game of the month versus Posh, where Posh fans on their forum described him as head and shoulders over anyone on the pitch and worth two men occupying as many as four defenders to try and stop him. I fear though we may struggle to hang on to him in the Summer, that is if he still here and nobody tries to poach him this month. A few stats for you......4 players have featured in all 7 games this month, Upson, Williams, Pawlett, and McGrandles, the latter recording the most MOTM votes this month with 9, and Upson the lowest with just 1 vote. None of the Above continues to score regularly but for the second month running votes have dropped for this option, All the Above however scored well on their first outing against Posh taking 42% of the vote. Thanks for taking the time to vote. |
