He looked the best centre half we have after standing in for Walsh. The bloke never stops talking to those around him and in my humble opinion should start there every week now. Enormous influence on the defence today

Very good - to put it mildly - technically and also in terms of building team confidence today.
Also says his English is getting better!!

I think he’s a much better centre back than a central midfielder, that’s where he plays for Mali.
Another who put in an immense performance today

Id be tempted to play him at the centre of a back 3 with walsh left and landell right. Golbourne and williams wide. Gilbey and mcgrandles central. Aneke and pawlett in behind sow. We have options though, aneke in behind a front 2 of agard and sow. This is definitely a squad taking shape, hopefully do some permanent business in january to build for next season when loans depart.

We bumped in to him a few weeks ago going to have a coffee in the Costa in the cinema before a game. My lad just went up to him and shouted 'Ousssse' so he stopped for a photo. Jolly nice chap he is.

He has the perception of being lazy but I think he is just calm and in control. As APMKDon says his communication with others is great. Plus his height gives him an obvious advantage to play CB.

We do have an abundance of CBs though so I doubt he'll play there again unless we are desperate.

In Robbies interview he says that he was bought to play in a back three. I know he has been injured but I think the only time he played in defence this season was when a centre back was either sent off or went off and he dropped back.

The way he played today he should not play anywhere else

Echo comments on this thread. Cisse ought to be a CB rather than centre MID ? Has he found his best position after today's enforced change ?
