Post subject:  Reasons to be grateful

We have never been a big club, even pre 2004. We are also NOT a rich club.

What we are is a unique club, with a gloriously passionate Chairman who makes things happen. We do things our way - the MK way. Investing in our youth to gain capital receipts. Not everything we invest in will work though, but when it does it will work big with players such as Dele helping to stem the multi-million pound annual operating losses that most football clubs face, including ours. What happened to the Dele money(?) - it paid off the bank two years of losses, that's what it did.

We take gambles with our managers - Ince (mark 1), Robinson, Di Matteo and Neilson have all been gambles and they have normally paid off, at least for a time.

We have grown a reputation of being a 'good club', despite the controversy of the move. We have done amazing things with our charity work and have invested in creating a family-friendly matchday experience. We have held our head up high and let others sling mud. We have stayed loyal to managers and players and have allowed other players to leave for the good of their own careers. Loyalty breeds loyalty both ways.

We have, of course, made mistakes - everyone does in all walks of life.

We have a massive amount to be grateful for. Let's never, ever, forget that.

We sold Dele for £5m. That was a bargain, for someone, but not for us.

Shrewd business management from someone right there.

To be fair, I don't think anyone expected Dele to perform as well as he did in his first couple of seasons at Spurs. He could have just as easily been put in the reserves or loaned out to a Championship club and probably have justified the £5m price tag rather than what he might be worth now.

Just have to hope that sell-on clause comes in use one day.

It may yet prove to be a very, very, good move.

Then I'd say that whoever advised the club on the deal performed a gross dereliction of duty.

Probably. Levy is, after all, a very poor negotiator.

As is PW.

We got his market value at the time.

Well said, what we've done in our short history and how we've gone about it has been top notch, despite what the Kingston hypocrites would say.

As I've already stated, poor. We sell a player to a world renowned club for a pitiable sum. A player that could potentially be at Real next season, for multi million pound fee.

£5m. Bargain. I'll take him.
