Fans Forum
PW
Aware of the many concerns raised on social media since the Spurs match. The club has received a huge quantity of emails and telephone call complaints. The club has taken notice of the concerns & in liaison with the MKDSA have addressed many issues. He held his hands up & was most apologetic saying some of the decisions made pre-match, and when fans were coming in staggered him.

COVID & furlough led to staffing issues, with many finding work elsewhere.
Consequently, most of the stewards at the Spurs match had never worked at SMK previously.

Agency staff were unfamiliar with the setup and came from 15 different agencies.

80% of the staff on matchday have never overseen a game before.
New ticketing system, like many other clubs, has been brought in to be more environmentally friendly and it’s required for the Women’s Euros.

Wi-Fi can’t cope. 5G is being explored.

Aware of the queues outside the gates for Spurs. The ref was approached but would not delay kick-off, PW saying the ref should have been told and given him no option, again dismayed how this was allowed to happen.

The club is making a loss due to the lower season ticket prices. Plans to review the pricing and structure of all areas of the ground in time for next season and this will involve a group of supporters. The £230 season ticket applies to all with the intention that should COVID prevent fans from attending matches this season they can access matches via iFollow.

There was a low take up in Club Red for the additional charge for tea & coffee etc and therefore not financially viable to provide. It also became clear at the Spurs match that it was almost impossible to identify who had taken up the upgrade for that match. Again, said they would be looking at all areas of the ground for next season, a complete overhaul was needed in many of the ways they operate and pay for themselves.

Plans to improve the new fan bar by adding permanent walls.

The plans for the training ground are progressing slowly with many changes to the plans.

Home fans being kept in the ground after the final whistle will never happen again (AFC). Said that we will always welcome AFC to our ground (Being the better man) he had read the MKDSA letter regarding the Bubble but made no comment on arrangements for NPL.

LM
Was excited by the quality of the team, praised DL and his Dad said they had been massive in the transition and a great help to him personally. Once he knew MK were interested in him it was an easy decision for him to move to MK. Said he had his own ideas of how the team should play, but rather than change it dramatically, he wanted to further develop it, making it more fluid depending on the circumstances of the game, not just a Plan A, but plans ABCD. Didn’t rule out new players but was happy with what he had if that didn’t transpire. Looking to add to his back-room team and expected that to develop quickly. Most of what he said had already been said during interviews so that has not been reported here.

LS
Was pleased with his role at the club, and happy they had the right man for the job. He will continue to identify those who he thinks will help the club and the team progress both on and off the field. Again, most of what LS said had been in recent interviews.

SC
Very happy to be elevated into his current role and he will develop and improve on systems to improve fitness, endurance, recovery to further strengthen the team. The club are still looking at recruiting a new physio and they hope to make the appointment shortly.

Forgot this bit.

PW was disgusted and dismayed that the instruction to close the Fan Bar at 2-30pm was given, but wouldn't say whose decision that was.
