Shame. He was instrumental in giving our youth set-up the identity it has, and iirc had some out-there ideas at the time that have now to come common place at many other academies. I hope he doesn't become our manager, purely because I don't want him to stop working at youth level

I don’t think it ended well.

Is Lewie remotely ready to manage?

No, he still thinks he’s the best left back in league 1, he’s nowhere near management level, with or without the coaching badges, one day, but not yet.........

Slight aside, as I'm not putting his name forward for us, but a manager that must be due a job in league one or the championship is Danny Cowley at Lincoln. His style of play isn't pretty and he was released by Wimbledon aged 16, so like I say I'm not necessarily saying for us, but his record is impressive. He's only 39 (and again I think we need a more experienced manager) but he started in management in early 30's and got 3 promotions in 4 years with a lower level non-league club. Took over Lincoln last year and got them promoted as well as to Q/F of FA Cup: and this year they're 3rd so far in league two. So far his career (with his brother as assistant) has just been an upward progression of success and there must be teams looking at him to give him a chance at a higher level. He's not got enough league experience for us in our current position, but I don't think it will be long before some club take a chance on him.

Good shout

There's a good chance Lincoln will get promoted this season; why come to the Dons when there's every chance we'll get relegated?

You still keep in contact with "big" Willy Gueret. How is he nowadays?

I have great respect for lewington, and I believe he was treated pretty more , when he was moved on, but as fans we can't have it both ways, most people sitting near me, wanted him dropped , saying he was passed it, then he was left out, now they don't like it, Robbie cannot win .
