If we lost Russ this close to the season starting I think we would be allowed to bed wet.
However, I don't think we will. I think Russ is invested in the 'process' and he strikes me as the type of person who will recognise the faith Pete and co have put in him (including significant investment in the players Russ wanted) and in turn want to stick with the club for a little while longer. Add to the fact he travels from the Brighton area (I think?) and isn't up for relocating his family I don't see Swansea having enough of a pull at this time. Different story is say if Norwich came calling....
All that only lasts so long. He's set the ground work and established himself as a manager, proving that not only does he have the credentials but he's better than the established predecessor.
Unless we make inroads to Championship promotion pushes I don't think we'll be seeing another Robinson style long haul. I think he's loyal, but if another club came calling and we were say mid table 11 points off a playoff place you can't begrudge him that chance especially when at a club that despite offering support, doesn't offer great amount of onfield stability.
