Not next season, or the season after. A one trick pony. He has a great squad available to him but he won’t get above mid table as he is so reliant on playing one way. A vastly overrated manager who fans like beciase he isn’t Neilson or Tisdale and because fans say he “gets the club” “tRusT ThE ProCeSS” Under Martin we will be a club with nice players and a “pretty” style that never goes anywhere. People will say “well we play football the right way” and will be happy with mediocrity. That’s all we will ever have under Martin. Mediocrity. |

If anyone says anything about the fact that we had 79% possession too my head will explode. Possession means nothing. Even more so when you lose. If you say “we played better and deserved more” I will just say ok, but Gillingham won. I’d rather have 5% possession and win than majority possession and lose. Possession means nothing!!! |

Give it time. We’ll have an opportunity in the summer to buy some more players that are really good at passing and keeping the ball, but absolutely terrible at everything else. To be fair, when it works, its bloody brilliant. However it is incredibly inconsistent and we don’t have a plan B. This style of play will be enjoyable to watch, will win us games but it will never get us promoted, unless we are able to do the ugly stuff as well. |

I'd stop watching if we had 5% possession every game. We've got to realise where we've come from. Promoted from L2 and relegation candidates after that. Sold out best 2 players and managed to get some nice shiny new ones. They are learning a new system and style. Why do we think we are getting promoted? |
